The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched Adi Sanskriti, a groundbreaking digital platform designed to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of India’s tribal communities.
The launch was part of a national conference focusing on flagship tribal welfare schemes like the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan (the world’s largest grassroots tribal leadership program) and PM-JANMAN (a mission for the development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups).
Adi Sanskriti is envisioned as a one-stop digital world for tribal culture and includes three main components:
-
Adi Vishwavidyalaya (Digital University): An online academy offering immersive courses on tribal dance, painting, folklore, and music.
-
Adi Sampada (Digital Repository): A vast digital museum and library with over 5,000 curated documents and artifacts showcasing tribal culture.
-
Adi Haat (Online Marketplace): An e-commerce platform where tribal artisans can sell their products directly to a global audience, ensuring sustainable livelihoods.
